Happy Valentine's Day

Lots of love already this Valentine's Day....Life wouldn't be complete without all my good friends and family.

I gave this game to Fox for Valentine's Day and after looking at it for a couple of minutes...I decided to add my own little "love touch" to it.

This is my Best friend Kelly with the coolest dog in the world..."Ruby". Ruby enjoys going for walks, loves cats, and snuggling in bed. Kelly, I am ready to take her off your hands whenever you are!!

Atlanta Market and Fashion Show

Hard Work...but Worth it!!So, this weekend we had our Atlanta Fashion Show and everyone did such an amazing job!!! I am so proud of all of the girls at Judith March and all of the people that helped out from the Apparel Mart. The models were beautiful and the show was so organized. Many thanks to all of the people who made this event happen!! It takes a village and many months of work to pull off a show. More pictures of friends and co-workers to come!!

I am going to be in debt to Bass Pro forever with all of the bribing I had to do to get Fox down the runway. We walked down at the end and did our little wave to say Thank you...then walked off.

One Interesting Woman

Recently I visited LA and I had the pleasure of meeting a very inspiring woman in the fashion industry. What was even better is that she was down-to-earth, funny, talented, and most of all....I could tell immediately her heart was huge!!
She owns a fabulous vintage company called, "The Way We Wore". Her name is Doris Raymond. I really felt as if I could have spent hours with her in that fabulous room of designs. She was also recently named "Fashion Innovator of the Year" by Harper's Bazaar.

The most fabulous vintage store I have ever visited.

This happens often in the office...well and with my mother, but I am starting to get used to it, because sometimes it is definitely positive.

This is so true. I need to read this every morning.

I honestly sometimes have to set my timer on my phone....I just don't want to forget the one who has always been there for me.

I have always feared failure, but I do think I have lived my life as if I didn't.

Enough said.

Some of the wisest people I have ever spent time with are those that have been through something that challenged them. Challenging times sometimes bring out the best in people.

I would have to say in 2011 I was so blessed, but I am ready for 2012. Here is to good friends and good family... and here is to 2012! I have loved the above quotes and can't wait to recap 2011with all of the pictures.

Christmas Eve and Day 2011

Sweet Melody's dad playing Santa on Christmas Eve night delivering presents. He danced to "Run, Run, Rudolf" and wore a Santa hat that said Naughty and a Santa t-shirt that said Does this make me look fat?

Fox got a Bearded Dragon from Santa and as you can see he loves him so much!! We named him ZZ. On a scary note, he is going to grow to be 24 inches long. Thank God I was meant to be a boy mom.

Fishing on Christmas Eve day...It was around 70 degrees. I lost the golf cart key out of my back pocket as I was wading out past the sandbar to cast....then the bait spilt in my car...it was squid and it fermented. With that being said, it was one of the best days ever.

Thank you Gus and Hank for our frogs!! We love them so much, we named them, Gus & Hank.....(did I mention how long it takes me to feed all these animals in the morning before work?)

Mel has such an amazing family. Fox and I were so excited to be invited over for fun at their house. It truly felt like home.

We need photos all of the time here at the office for Deja-vu and for Judith March. Dawn Anderson is one talented photographer. In the fashion industry everyone always needs everything yesterday...so we tend to make last minute photo shoot requests...but somehow Dawn always comes through for us. She is so artsy, bohemian, and simply amazing!!!

I just wanted to share some of the photos she has taken for me..for work and for play. Did I mention that she has the most beautiful family?? Her sweet baby Chap and talented musician/husband Mike make up this fabulous family.

This was taken on a really cold day at the beach. Dawn was about 7-8 months pregnant and let me be the first to say that it did not slow her down. She literally was rolling on the sand while taking pictures ....trying to get a good shot of me for an article. (Note:I am the absolute hardest person to photograph..my double chin really shows in pictures..she somehow always gets the shot)

This one was taken in Dawn's backyard.... It was boiling hot that day.

I have these two canvas' up in my house. I love how she strokes the canvas with paint and finishes them off with a wax seal stamp/signature.

I just got home from my family Christmas with my parents and all of the grandchildren. It was so peaceful. I didn't want to leave. It's just something about home I can't explain.

This past weekend one of my best guy friends (since junior high/highschool) stayed at my house with his wife, Elizabeth, and new addition baby Holland. I have to admit they were the perfect house guests. In fact they were more like family than guests... I miss them already!!

Louis loved Josh...he was always right beside him when Josh was working on the couch.

On Friday night I had a little Christmas party at my house. It consisted of great friends, fabulous music from Dread Clampitt, amazing food from Cowgirl Kitchen, and drinks from Emerald Coast Wine & Spirits. Paige Schnell from Tracery Interiors decorated my house this year for the holidays. She is so talented. Here are some pictures that show the atmosphere and how much fun we had....

I just took a trip with fabulous friends Michelle and Joni to Costa Rica. It was a much needed vacation after all of the work recently. While we were staying at their house in Costa, we traveled the country as much as possible. It is absolutely beautiful.
I felt like a local. We even went to local parties. From the beautiful sunsets, beaches, and land to the scary little raccoons and monkeys....this place is definitely a must go-must see!!! Oh and forgot to mention the rodeo we went to!! So much fun.
I have to say Costa was a very healing place. I now understand why Michelle wants to live there.

Judith March sponsored the Seaside reparatory theatre last night in it's fundraiser "Cash for the Rep". It was a Johnny Cash theme that rounded up all of our local talent in one building to sing. Let me just say...Unbelievable!!!! I am a huge fan of music...it calms me down...but I felt like jumping out of my seat last night. There was so much talent in the room. You could feel the energy.

I found amazing inspiration for Judith March while working in LA...I must say staying at the Roosevelt inspires me too. If you haven't stayed there it's a must. From the pool to the bowling alley upstairs...it's amazing!!
Austin is an amazing city too! I bought my Halloween costume there (for my second party) and found a fabulous pair of boots. Also while shopping we ran into a boutique that carries Judith March.... So we stopped for a photo.
My dad picked up fox early so I headed down to Brundidge after my work was finished. Fox and I fished, rode horses, fed the ducks, and had so much fun with family.

We went to the defuniak springs fair today. Whew!! The mommas are tired. I wore overalls, melody was decked out in her Alabama football gear, and we all need a chisel to get the dirt off our feet.
Did I mention fox won a bunny? The guy assured me that he only had eight winners the day before...soooo...I let fox play-thinking he wouldn't win. He got it on his 3rd throw.
We conveniently forgot to go back and get the bunny.

Just got back from key west....we were looking for a new location for my retail store "Deja-vu". I think we might have found the perfect spot. Key West is so eclectic and relaxing. It's like everyone is on island time. I actually started to relax on the way. Here are a few pics of the trip.....I found my Halloween costume while I was there too!! I am going to be a fox.
